Hilton winding machines are equipped with a host of standard features:

  • Welded structural steel frame finished in a Hilton blue powder coat.
  • Rib reinforced aluminum tool and jig face plate for accurate mounting of the machine components.
  • Sturdy, high precision material spindles with "On-the-fly" material edge alignment.
  • Idler rollers fitted with low friction, low profile bearings for precision and long life.
  • Self threading, compound collapsible arbors with diameter adapters for reduced change over time.
  • Servo or variable speed DC motor drives with tachometer feedback for accurate speed control.
  • Web tension control systems providing accuracy and stablility throughout the winding cycle.

Dual winding arbors, electronic closed loop tension control and web speeds in excess of 3 meters per second make this the fastest and most accurate winding machine of it's type in the world.

Foil edge and end folding, self threading and stripping arbors and unattended, automatic operation make it the most cost effective.

MACHINE FEATURES:

  • Operator interface: Electro luminescent touch screen. Graphic interface for programming.
  • Arbor style: Compound collapsible, retracting, self threading turret. Two Winding positions.
  • Arbor adapters: Quick change style, Nickel/Teflon or Ceramic/Teflon finish.
  • Winding control: Program to active foil length.
  • Element removal: Automatic stripping, flattening and conveying to the left side of the machine.
  • Automatic transfer to the DryKap Tester.
  • Alarms: Material break detection on all rolls. Foil edge fold loss detection.
  • Safety: Guards and covers to O.S.H.A. standards. Optional CE conformance package.
